BIO

Mark E. Rogers, O.D.

Dr. Rogers looks forward to providing you with the very best eye care. Eye care is more than 20/20.  There are many people, including young children, who may have “20/20” vision and still have problems in their visual system. These problems include focusing or reading strain which could require eyeglasses, and glaucoma or retinal problems which can remain “hidden” from a person’s awareness.  The American Optometric Association recommends annual eye exams. Children can have their visual system examined by a pediatric eye doctor at one year of age to detect problems early in the child’s development.

Dr. Rogers provides all types of eye care including specialty glasses, specialty contacts like scleral lenses, colored contacts, eye disease diagnosis and management, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, macula degeneration, dry eye, conjunctivitis, inflammations and infections and vision therapy for “lazy eye”, “reading strain”, visual perception difficulties which can affect learning (including poor visual memory skills, figure ground differentiation, or fine motor visual integration)  and depth perception or balance problems.

Dr. Rogers does accept some insurances (given proper eligibility and pre-authorization) including medicare, medicaid, vsp, vcp, vci, eyemed, spectera, davisvision, avmed, amerigroup, advantica, safeguard, and some commercial plans offered by cigna, aetna, humana, UHC, and blue plans (other plans not listed, so ask).

Dr. Rogers has been practicing in Tamarac and the tri-county area for over twenty years. He examines all ages from 1 year of age to 111 years of age. He can go Mobile.

Patients are naturally curious regarding the background of their physicians. Dr. Rogers loves playing basketball, coaching basketball,  fishing,  playing trumpet, playing saxophone, and jazz.

Dr. Rogers' educational and training background includes an Ivy League education, professional school graduation with honors, and Florida Board Certification scores in the top ten percentile.

WHY CHOOSE Dr. ROGERS

Why Choose Us

Eyes are part of an entire body.  Dr. Rogers examines your eyes and provides treatment with a holistic approach, considering how you function as a whole person.

Dr. Rogers addresses eye strain and how it can create neck pain and headache. For that reason he is careful not to prescribe more power than what you really need, so don't worry if you cannot tell which lenses are better, "number one or number two". Dr. Rogers can tell even if you can't.
